A progress report, already?!
Okay so, I promise I will not turn into one of those people that post's daily but I HAVE NEWS.
In January I had the privilege of being published in a wonderful book called 'Poems, Tales & Other English words' (you can find out more about that here.
For that book I sent in a few poems for consideration and they were gracious enough to accept two: Aglow, and Where the Ache Lives.
Now I am not the kind of person to get ahead of myself, in fact, my self confidence is that low you could probably tell me I was a potato sack and I'd spend the rest of my life believing you. But once I received the email telling me I had been chosen to be featured I cried like a baby and a little light inside me shone just a little bit brighter. (Were good things starting to happen? Productive things? Exciting things?)
On March 3rd I saw the submission page open requesting submissions following the theme 'What we carry' and this could be taken literally, metaphorically, emotionally, physically, etc, etc, etc. So, I put on my big girl pants - all whilst thinking there is no way they will publish me twice in year one - and hit send on an email including three poems I had written. One new, specifically written to match the theme and two I already had in my scribbling's waiting for a chance to be read by someone other than me.
Fast forward to today and my oh my, didn't I squeal like a little baby piggy when I opened my email.

Stop the absolute bus because it has happened again! Not one, not two, but three of my poems are being published in the sixth edition of Poems, Tales & Other English Words (they are fast becoming my favourite people, sorry Chad.) Anyway, the issue is out in June and of course, I'll update on here when it releases and when it is available - if for any reason any of you fancy grabbing yourself a copy just to say "See this poem, I know the writer".
Isn't life just lush when things happen that you never thought could? I mean yeah it kicks every now and then, and then it probably kicks again just to make sure you got the memo but sometimes it just happens to let a sneaky little bit of sunshine through the gaps and those moments? Ooooh don't they make me giddy.
Thanks again for being here and for reading (if you got this far) just wanted to let everyone know! By June 2026 I will have been published 3 separate time and SIX of my poems will be out in the world for people to read in a real life book. What the genuine helly?!
Have the best Friday my darlings,
Tasha AC
